The candidate will be part of a team of Software Developers, ETL Developers, and Data Scientists to enhance existing production applications and build out new web services on a routinized production cadence to meet the evolving needs of users. This is an exciting opportunity for Software Developers wanting to broaden their credentials in the realm of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML). This is also an exciting opportunity for the Software Developers to develop hands-on experience with new technical tools/applications.\n\nDevelopment will take place in an iterative fashion using Agile development methodology with input from all levels of stakeholders. The candidate must have the ability to communicate with project team members, user community, and leadership to assess changes and demonstrate iterative progress.\nResponsibilities:\nFundamental understanding of analytic tools and capabilities.\nIntegrating AI/ML technology into a production web application.\nParticipation with iterative software development teams with adherence to all reporting requirements.\nDesigning, developing and unit testing code for a production system and demonstration capabilities.\nDeveloping rapid prototypes to drive out requirements and design.\nProviding demonstrations and detailed walk through of features to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.\nMeeting with stakeholders, analyzing requirements, developing user stories, and translating these into software development tasks.\nDevelopment of technical documentation and briefing materials to support program status reviews, control gates, and other presentations as directed.\nRequired Qualifications:\nCurrent TS/SCI + polygraph on Day 1\nExperience in Agile team and software development methodologies.\nMinimum 4-6 years building web applications using Angular, React or JavaScript with specific examples. Java Spring framework is a plus.\nSolid understanding around UI/UX fundamentals.\nMinimum 2-4 years of work experience using a Linux Operating system.\nMinimum 2-4 years of demonstrated experience with development and deployment of applications in cloud services; such as: AWS, C2S, Azure, Oracle Cloud.\nMinimum 2-3 years of demonstrated ability to design, develop, test and implement new applications based on project requirements.\nThe ability to work individually as well as the ability to work in project teams. Proven ability in decomposing concepts to discrete development tasks and managing your work to a deadline.\nFamiliarity of microservices up to include: docker, podman, and or containerization services.\nMinimum 3-4 years of demonstrated experience using coding language: Java, Python, JavaScript, CSharp. Python preferred. Other areas of object orientated programming will be considered.\nCandidates must have a Bachelors' Degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience, or 11 years of experience without a degree.\n\nDesired Qualifications:\nFundamental understanding around text analytics and its applications/role/use in business intelligence/business analytics (i.e. search, entity extraction, sentiment analysis, document summarization, document categorization) whether through education or experience.\nDemonstrated experience developing proof of concepts of new technologies and evaluating the state of the art in machine learning algorithms for text analytics whether through education or experience.\nFundamental understanding around machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Keras, Tensorflow whether through education or experience is a plus.\nFundamental understanding of data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Pandas, D3.js, ggplot, etc) whether through education or experience.\nExperience with Relational or Non-Relational data stores such as MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB whether through education or experience.\nFamiliarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub for documenting work a plus.\n\nBenefits\nThe salary for this role is estimated to be $130,000 - $160,000.
