Assignments may include:\n\n• Participating in the Code Forward program and leading a Coding Club at the instructor’s school.\n• Teaching teacher microcredential courses.\n• Facilitating CISE STEAM programs on Saturdays and during the summer.\n\nA flexible schedule and availability at CSUDH and partner school sites are required.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\n• Lead engaging, project-based STEM instruction for students and educators.\n• Implement Code Forward curriculum and facilitate a school-site Coding Club.\n• Teach microcredential courses and other professional learning programs.\n• Develop or adapt curriculum, presentations, agendas, and instructional materials.\n• Teach participants to use relevant software, technology, and fabrication equipment.\n• Manage classroom activities, materials, attendance, and program documentation.\n• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and organized learning environment.\n• Coordinate with CISE staff, school administrators, teachers, and program partners.\n• Supervise support staff and student assistants when assigned.\n• Communicate program updates and concerns to the program coordinator and supervisor.\n• Follow all CISE, university, school-site, and workplace safety requirements.\n\nQualifications and Requirements\n\n• Bachelor’s degree and a valid California teaching credential.\n• Experience teaching K–12 students, educators, or adult learners.\n• Interest or experience in STEM education, coding, educational technology, digital fabrication, or project-based learning.\n• Strong communication, presentation, classroom-management, and interpersonal skills.\n• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.\n• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and related educational applications.\n• Willingness to learn and teach emerging technologies and fabrication equipment.\n• Reliable transportation and availability for assigned Saturdays, summer sessions, and off-site programs.\n• Successful completion of required background screening, Live Scan fingerprinting, and tuberculosis clearance before beginning work with minors.\n• Completion of Levels 1 and 2 of the Technology & Innovation in Education course is required for all Code Forward and STEM Program assignments.\n\nExperience leading professional development is preferred for instructors assigned to teach microcredential courses.\n\nCompensation\n\n$100 per hour\n\nHours vary based on the assigned program.\n\nApplication Period\nApplications will be reviewed beginning September 15, 2026, and will continue until the positions are filled.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nToro Auxiliary Partners is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
