OverviewAs an LDO, customer service is priority one! You'll assist patients with selecting and ordering eyewear, adjustments and fittings, and educating on proper eyeglass and contact lens care. Your initiative and organizational skills will keep us running at top performance, while your enthusiasm and knowledge will provide an exceptional patient experience.ResponsibilitiesInterprets prescription and helps patients choose appropriate eyewear, consulting with prescribing physicians as appropriateTakes optical measurements necessary for eyewear preparationOrders eyewear from laboratory based on prescription and patient preferencePerforms quality inspection of lenses and framesAdjusts eyewear to patient using appropriate tools and instruct on cleaning and handlingMakes any necessary repairs using appropriate parts and toolsMaintains equipment and inventory of suppliesQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferredPrevious optical experience requiredLicensed Dispensing Optician (LDO) requiredABO and NCLE required, state licensed preferred or will be required within 6 months of hireDetail oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer skills, including Word and ExcelFlexible schedule working Monday-Friday
