DescriptionJOB LOCATION: Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder ResortREPORTS TO: Restaurant Manager or Shift SupervisorDEPARTMENT: Food & BeverageFLSA STATUS: This is a full-time or part-time, hourly, non-exempt positionTYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE (DAYS/HRS PER WEEK): TBDJOB PURPOSE: To greet guests and provide quality guest serviceESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Acknowledges and greets guestsAssigns guest to table suitable for the size of the group and escorts them to their seatsInforms server that they have guestsCleans work areaMay serve and bus table as neededMay be required to work in other areas of Food & Beverage as neededREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):• Must be at least 18 years of age or olderGood verbal communication and customer relations skillsAbility to handle a variety of customer requests and personalitiesMust be people oriented and courteousHigh standards of grooming and hygieneSkill in handling customer requests and complaintsKnowledge of restaurant/dining room policies and procedures and daily menus/specialsREQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GEDPrevious FOH restaurant experience strongly preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:Casino Restaurant settingShift work; Required to work weekends, holidays and overtimeStanding/Walking, 100%; may stand or walk up to 4 hours at a timeSome light lifting may be required, such as moving tables/chairs and bussing cartExposure to cigarette smoke and noiseMust follow safety precautions and requirements
