Convenience Store Assistant Manager

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Convenience Store Assistant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a well-organized store environment. You will play a crucial role in managing staff, inventory, and sales while contributing to the overall success of the store. Duties Assist in the management of daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures Supervise and train staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and controlling stock levels Handle cash management tasks. Engage in recruiting efforts by conducting interviews and employee orientation Implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and sales Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience Monitor sales performance and assist with pricing strategies to maximize profitability Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store to create an inviting atmosphere Collaborate with the Store Manager on budgeting and financial planning initiatives Qualifications Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager in a convenience store or grocery environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in retail math and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems Knowledge of inventory control practices and merchandising techniques Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and time management capabilities Experience in training & development of staff members to enhance their performance Ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service Familiarity with marketing strategies relevant to retail sales is advantageous Join our team as a Convenience Store Assistant Manager where you can make a difference in the daily operations of our store while fostering a positive work environment for our employees.
