Regular project-site presence is required, so candidates must live locally or be able to commute to sites across the region.\nSupport Successful Project Starts: Provide pre-construction services including bid-ability/constructability reviews, pre-construction meetings, and bidding services.\nOversee Documentation Management: Provide contract administration, review contractor schedules, respond to contractor claims, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.\nRepresent Owner Interests: Monitor field activities and contractor performance for compliance with approved plans, specifications, budget, schedule, safety\nexpectations, and quality standards.\nKeep People Connected: Coordinate with clients, owners, contractors, design teams, inspectors, subconsultants, utilities, and agencies while leading project meetings.\nSolve Field Challenges: Address field issues, potential change orders, schedule impacts, and project risks with a fair, practical, solutions-focused approach.\nGuide Field Teams: Coordinate inspectors, materials testing resources, subconsultants, and field staff to support accurate documentation and successful project delivery.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.\nActive California Professional Engineer (PE) license. Candidates with a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) designation and/or an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification with equivalent directly relevant experience and the ability to obtain licensure may also be considered.\nPrior experience supporting construction management, resident engineering, and/or owner's representative services for public works or heavy civil infrastructure projects.\nKnowledge of construction administration, contract documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, schedules, and project controls.\nProficient using Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and construction management software.\nDemonstrated ability to build client relationships and support pursuit efforts for future CM opportunities.\nValid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between project sites and offices.\nAbility to work on active construction sites, including field offices, uneven surfaces, varying weather, and common construction hazards.\nCompensation & Benefits\nPay Range: $145,000 - $208,000 annually (commensurate with experience)\nVehicle Benefit: Auto allowance or company-provided vehicle\nIncentives: Discretionary bonus and recognition programs\nTime Off: 3-4 weeks PTO (depending on experience) plus 8 paid holidays\nTotal Rewards: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family, along with employee ownership and retirement benefits\nOur Hiring Approach\nOur recruiting team reviews every application personally and will keep candidates informed throughout the process.
