Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy for salaries, benefits, taxes, garnishments, and deductionsReview and maintain payroll systems, recommending improvements where neededPrepare detailed payroll reports, including earnings, tax filings, leave, and deductionsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulationsReconcile payroll funding with general ledger accounts and resolve discrepanciesMaintain accurate payroll records and documentationSupport internal and external audits by providing required payroll dataDevelop and update payroll policies, procedures, and workflowsCollaborate closely with Human Resources and Accounting teamsLead, train, and develop payroll staff, including performance management and workflow optimizationSafeguard confidentiality of employee payroll dataQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related fieldCertified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation requiredMinimum of 5 years of payroll management experienceStrong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirementsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)Experience with payroll systems and integrationsExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsProven leadership and team management capabilitiesAbility to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentDesired Skills and ExperienceWe are seeking a Payroll Manager with a Certified Payroll Professional certification to oversee payroll operations onsite in West LA.
