Bartenders are responsible for enhancing the guest experience by preparing beverages and providing exceptional service.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.\nPerform opening, running, and closing side-work duties as assigned\nKeep bar area clean and well-stocked according to restaurant standards at all times\nWelcome guests quickly upon arrival\nGuide guests through menu offerings; take accurate orders from guests\nMake drinks for guests following standard recipes, deliver drinks promptly\nRing in food and drink orders, communicate any dietary needs, special requests, or food restrictions to the appropriate person in a timely manner\nCheck in with guests regularly to ensure food and drinks are made to the guests’ satisfaction\nHandle and reconcile payments, including cash and credit card payments, in accordance with our cash handling systems, policies and procedures\nProtect the establishment, guests, and fellow co-workers by adhering to all safety and sanitation policies, practices and procedures\nUphold our service standards to ensure the guest experience is consistent and enjoyable\nMaintain a working knowledge of all product offerings in order to answer guest questions, make recommendations and further enhance the guest experience\nProvide exceptional hospitality to our guests to ensure they will dine with us again\nPromptly resolve guest complaints, involving management as necessary to ensure the guest leaves satisfied\nPractice safe and responsible alcohol service in accordance with Company, state and federal laws, to ensure the safety of our guests, staff and other visitors\nParticipate in staff trainings and staff pre-meals as required\nContribute to team effort, help other team members to accomplish related results\nAdhere to all Company policies, procedures, standards and practices\nPerform other duties and tasks as needed\nRequired Education and Experience:\nA high school diploma or equivalent\nPrior restaurant experience\nExtensive knowledge of food, beer, wine and spirits and a familiarity with standard drink recipes. Must successfully complete BarSmarts certification within first 60 days of employment.\nKnowledge of local and state regulations related to alcohol service and health code compliance\nAdditional Eligibility Qualifications:\nMust be 21 or older\nMust maintain active TIPS certification, must obtain TIPs certification within the first 30 days of employment\nWork Environment: This job operates behind the bar and may be working in close proximity to co-workers. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping and tripping.\nPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time, continuously reach, bend, and lift items up to 35 lbs. Must be able to cut, measure, pour, serve and carry food and drink items.
