The team works in the office at SEL’s Boise, Idaho location.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nBuild complex web front-end user experiences with React and Typescript.\n\nBuild efficient back-end business logic on an embedded platform with C# and C++.\n\nBuild secure APIs including REST and GraphQL.\n\nParticipate in the design, implementation, and test of firmware/software systems.\n\nBuild unit, subsystem, and complete multi-platform end-to-end automated tests.\n\nPrepare and maintain design, code, and test documentation.\n\nMentor other engineers.\n\nFollow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nB.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent\n\nTypically, 7+ years of experience:\n\nReact and Typescript customer-facing web applications\n\nSecurity standards such as OWASP and API hardening\n\nC# or Java preferred\n\nObject-oriented principles and design patterns\n\nStrong writing, documentation, and speaking skills\n\nAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities\n\nAbility to work cooperatively in a team environment\n\nBackground check results satisfactory to SEL\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExpert level in C# or Java\n\nExpert level with React and Typescript\n\nExpertise with full-stack automated testing including Selenium or Playwright\n\nEmbedded system experience on a Linux-based platform\n\nFamiliarity with containers\n\nFamiliarity with Visual Studio Code\n\nFamiliarity with PostgreSQL\n\nFamiliarity with C++\n\nExperience with greenfield development\n\nCompetitive pay.
