We are looking for team members who are ready to be empowered to go above and beyond.Job SummaryThe AM Restaurant Server is responsible for delivering a warm, upscale dining experience to guests during morning service hours. This role includes greeting guests, taking and serving orders, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through attentive and personalized service. The AM Restaurant Server supports hotel operations by maintaining knowledge of menu items, adhering to service standards, core standards, and contributing positively to the team environment.Essential Duties & FunctionsOperational ResponsibilitiesPrepare dining area for breakfast service, greet and serve guests, monitor and manage inventory, assist other departments, maintain cleanliness and safety, process payments and close checks, end of shift duties.Guest ServicesGreeting guests warmly upon arrival, respond promptly to guest requests, handle guest complaints professionally, assist with accommodation, monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, provide personalized service, ensure a smooth and pleasant dining experienceTeam Support and TrainingSupport team members during busy service periods, collaborate with coworkers, train new hires on service procedures, provide guidance and feedback, ensure team compliance, participate in pre-shift meetings, encourage teamwork and communicationCommunication and ReportingMaintain open communication with kitchen and service staff, relay guest feedback and special requests, report inventory shortages or equipment issues, document shift activities, participate in pre-shift briefings, coordinate with front desk and housekeeping, notify management of any safety concerns or policy violationsSafety & ComplianceComply with hotel policies and local health regulations, use equipment safely and report any malfunctions or safety concerns, maintain awareness of guest allergies or dietary restrictions, adhere to uniform and grooming standards, ensure dining and service areas are clean and hazard-free, and follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.BasicsMaintain cleanliness and organization in all work areasDisplay courteous behavior with guests and team membersReport any unsafe conditions immediatelyEnsure hotel equipment is in proper working conditionPerform any additional duties assigned by the supervisorPhysical RequirementsSitting: Not a sitting positionStanding/Walking: Will be standing and walking throughout the entire shift, including during food service, table maintenance, and guest interactionsLifting/Carrying: Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently, including trays of food, beverage containers, and cleaning suppliesOther Physical Requirements: Ability to move quickly and safely in a fast-paced environment, including navigating around guests and other staffWorking EnvironmentInterior: Primarily works in the hotel restaurant, dining room, and service stationsExterior: May serve guests in outdoor patio or terrace areas during breakfast service, weather permittingQualificationsCandidate ProfileEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredHospitality or customer service coursework preferredMinimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in food service, hospitality, or customer-facing rolesPrior experience in a hotel or restaurant breakfast service is highly desirableFamiliarity with point-of-sales (POS) systems and basic food safety practices is a plusEssential Skills and QualificationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsEffective time management and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Tabit POSAbility to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detailExcellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilitiesTABC Certified and Food HandlersBenefits:Medical, Dental, Life insurancePaid Time OffPaid Community Service DaysClick here to learn moreValencia Hotel Group (and all its affiliates) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
