Nuclear Medicine TechnologistJob Title: Nuclear Medicine TechnologistProfession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine TechDuration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30)Experience: Minimum of 1 year PET/CT experience or eligibility for PET/CT advanced registry preferred License: ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB registered with current licensure Certifications: CPR certification through the American Heart AssociationMust-Have: Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in Nuclear Medicine PET/CT advanced certification is preferred Ability to operate equipment and all related instrumentationDescription: This position requires a satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in Nuclear Medicine. Candidates must be ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB registered with current licensure. A minimum of 1 year PET/CT experience or eligibility for PET/CT advanced registry is preferred. Candidates with PET/CT advanced certification will be given preference. CPR certification through the American Heart Association is required. Responsibilities include making appropriate imaging decisions for technique, positioning, and radiation protection. The technologist will administer radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of the supervising Radiologist and document appropriately. Maintaining awareness of potential adverse reactions is essential. Practicing sterile techniques and preventing cross-contamination is required. Maintaining necessary records, including properly labeling images for interpretation, is expected.
