This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles and equipment which will primarily be pickup trucks, class 8 trucks and trailer. As a Lead Technician, you'll play a crucial role in making repairs as well as guiding and leading our other technicians to ensure the safety, efficiency, and longevity for our customers vehicles.\nTransdev is proud to offer:\nCompetitive compensation package of minimum $30.00 – Maximum $40.00 / hr\nSign On Bonus -$1,500.00\nBenefits include:\nVacation: minimum of two (2) weeks\nSick days: 5 days\nHolidays: 8 days; 6 standard and 2 floating\nOther standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEnsure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers by performing limited repairs with moderate supervision on basic and advanced maintenance such as replacement of light bulbs, fuses, lenses, wiper blades, belts, hoses, batteries, check fluid levels, change fluids and filters and lubricate components.\nPerform mechanical repairs under moderate supervision including the repair of brakes and brake inspections, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches, internal engine components and other repairs.\nMaintain records of all maintenance work completed on vehicles including parts and supplies used. Ensure that work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain parts usage records and order repair parts from designated suppliers\nPreventative maintenance (PM’s), safety maintenance inspections and annual maintenance inspections at prescribed intervals of time and usage\nRemove and replace and repair engine, transmission and differential assemblies.\nDiagnoses and performs accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment repair .\nNotify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken\nEvaluates completed work prior to release and seeks approval where required\nEvaluates completed work of others prior to release\nLead and train the other technicians in you work group\nAssist with road calls and emergency services as necessary\nAdhere to Transdev standards, policies and procedures\nMoves vehicles safely between job and work area\nRepair and maintain all shop equipment\nCleans vehicles as requested or required\nOther responsibility as requested or required\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred)\nClass A CDL with air brake endorsement (preferred)\nState inspection license (if required)\nASE Certification preferred.\nExtensive mechanical aptitude and 5 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) or equivalent education and experience\nAdhere to standards set by state DOT for motor vehicle inspections and safety standards\nValid driver’s license\nMaintain an organized shop and clean work environment\nMaking sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers\nPossess adequate mechanic tool inventory to complete all assigned duties and maintained in a clean and safe manner.\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
