The ideal In-Room Dining Dispatcher & Cashier will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.The In-Room Dining Dispatcher & Cashier will provide an excellent guest experience through proper steps of service and maintain a great work environment for our fellow hosts and vendors. This role will properly take all guests’ In Room Dining orders, communicate them to other servers and work to expedite their service. Other responsibilities include to properly perform all control and revenue related paperwork. This will all be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company.Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.Summary Of Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesChecks with Manager for daily forecastPackages and presents food/beverage items to standardInspects location for cleanliness, proper supply levelsOrders/requisitions food and supplies through lead/sous chefMaintains a clean and sanitary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codesUses POS accurately. Handles cash, credit card, and room charge transactions as directedParticipates in daily line upsPractices service standards and current training throughout serviceAssists with duties in the restaurant as neededResponsible for answering the phones within three ringsTakes orders for guests and using last names at least three times during interactionKnowledge on ways to upsell/suggestive sellsInforms the guest about specials in restaurantGives the approximate time of delivery for the orderPrepares payment of checksKnowledge of food menus and wine lists and daily specialsKnows and adheres to all liability lawsPrints and distributes hotel reportsCharges all amenities and coffee orders according to SOPCompletes other duties assignedAttends all designated staff meetings and training sessionsAssists server with set up and breakdown of trays when availableCommunicates amenity issues to manager/concierge when necessaryManagement reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any timeEducation And Experience RequiredHigh School or General Education Degree, RequiredMust be able to obtain food and alcoholic beverage server certificationMust be at least 21 years oldBasic computer knowledge and usage preferredMust pass a post-employment offer background check and drug screenKnowledge, Skills And AbilitiesMust display and live out Lead with Love qualities strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture by being patient, kind, humble, respectful, selfless, forgiving, honest, and committedAble to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employeesMust reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in workMust be self-motivated and disciplinedMust be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basisMust maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged informationMust be committed to continuous improvementMust have professional appearance with good personal hygieneMust promote and support a “team” work environment by cooperating and helping co-workersMust be able to be productive in a fast-paced environmentMust maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidaysAble to meet the physical demands of the job Physical And Cognitive RequirementsLifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting Mobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfacesRepetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat.
