The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Oracle RMAN backups, performance tuning, and database maintenance, with additional experience in SQL Server and cloud-based environments.Key Responsibilities:Manage Oracle database operations, including performing routine maintenance, optimization, and data recovery tasks.Identify and resolve issues related to database corruption, performance degradation, and availability.Conduct regular inspections to verify database integrity and ensure recoverability.Implement performance tuning strategies to enhance database efficiency and performance.Design and execute comprehensive backup and recovery plans using Oracle RMAN and other relevant tools.Maintain data consistency and recoverability in alignment with corporate standards and best practices.Monitor, analyze, and address issues with backup jobs and database logs.Enforce database security protocols, including role-based access control and encryption measures.Apply system patches, upgrades, and service packs to maintain security and system currency.Perform routine security audits to identify and address vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with security standards.Administer Microsoft SQL Server (preferably 2014 and above), focusing on performance tuning, patching, and backups.Upgrade SQL Server software, and apply necessary service packs, hotfixes, and patches.Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide technical support to development, operations, and business teams.Work closely with system administrators and developers to ensure seamless integration of database systems with applications.Utilize SQL Profiler, event logs, IIS logs, and network monitoring tools to resolve issues.Develop and manage scripts to automate routine database management tasks.Document database configurations, resource allocations, and backup/recovery procedures.Maintain accurate records of database performance, availability, and issue resolution.Proactively monitor database systems to detect and address potential issues before they escalate.Required Skills and Experience:More than 9 years of expertise in Database Administration (DBA).At least 5 years of experience in managing Oracle databases, with expertise in Oracle RMAN backup and recovery processes. Comprehensive understanding of Oracle's best practices for security, patching, and maintenance.Minimum of 5 years of experience with SQL Server (2014 or newer), including tasks related to upgrading, patching, and troubleshooting.
