This role is responsible for driving engineering excellence, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects in alignment with company objectives, standards, and budgets.Provides strategic technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams across all relevant disciplinesDirects the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, including scope, schedule, cost estimates, and stakeholder updatesEnsures engineering activities, designs, and processes comply with company standards, industry regulations, and best practicesOversees review and approval of individual designs, technical documentation, and engineering deliverablesMonitors and manages engineering department budgets, including cost approvals and resource allocationDevelops and implements engineering procedures, processes, and quality controls to ensure operational effectivenessLeads personnel management activities including hiring, performance management, coaching, and professional development of engineering staffCollaborates with cross-functional teams including Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality to support business objectivesEvaluates and recommends new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve engineering capabilitiesPrepares and presents project proposals, technical reports, and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related discipline)12+ years of progressive engineering experience, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or management roleDemonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projectsStrong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource planningExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present to senior leadership.Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Engineering or related field, or MBAProfessional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certificationExperience in the energy, oil & gas, or industrial equipment sectorPMP or other project management certificationFamiliarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and talk and hear. The employee is required frequently to use hands and digits to handle or feel work material. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Lifting/carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently, and 5 to 10 lbs. daily. Must be able to use/wear applicable personal protective equipment which may include but is not limited to safety-toed foot wear (with ankle height support), back support belt, hearing protection, safety eye-wear with side shields, gloves and hard hat. May occasionally be required to wear approved/applicable respiratory protection equipment (respiratory protection guidelines would apply with regard to medical evaluation and fit testing of equipment). Frequent assent/decent of stairs/steps, especially at field locations. Must be able to respond quickly to an emergency situation.
