INTERNAL / EXTERNALPosting Date: March 11, 2026 Expiration Date: Until FilledAvailable Paraprofessional Position (Early Childhood/K-2)Location: Emma Smith Elementary 6.5 hours per dayPay Rate: Per SMESPA ContractDate(s): 25-26 School YearKey Responsibilities:Support classroom teachers in implementing daily routines, lessons, and individualized instruction.Provide assistance to students with disabilities aligned with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Support students with communication, behavioral, fine/gross motor, and sensory needs using positive and proactive strategies.Assist with personal care needs, which may include toileting and diapering.Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all children.Facilitate individual and small-group learning activities that build social and academic skills.Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, and recess.Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries at all times.Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and related service providers.
