{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"1b3018a66fe4b3dfa6198a4e","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/1b3018a66fe4b3dfa6198a4e","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/1b3018a66fe4b3dfa6198a4e","title":"Junior Mine Engineer","description":"JOB TITLE: Junior Mine Engineer\nDEPARTMENT: Technical Services\nLOCATION: Robinson Nevada Mining Company - Ruth, NV\nPAY GRADE: 6\nPOSITION REPORTS TO: Chief Mine Engineer\nROTATING SHIFT: Yes No\nEXEMPT NONEXEMPT\nPurpose & Scope of The Position:\nMine Engineer is responsible for short-term mine planning, mine surveying, assisting with geotechnical monitoring, supporting drill and blast planning, and providing technical guidance/support for the Mine Department and other Departments as required.\nJob Duties & Responsibilities:\nFollow safe work procedures and best practices.\nAll RNMC employees are accountable for the safety of themselves as well as that of their coworkers.\nAssist in the creation, refinement, and implementation of the short term mine plan (material sequence; access planning; pit design; shot muck inventory; blast design and planning; dump sequencing) to attain the Life of Mine Plan.\nCoordinate mine surveying activities and other Field Engineering Technician assignments to fully optimize this group’s time and efficiency.\nCoordinate mine planning and technical evaluation planning process and offer assistance or direct the activities for long and short-term projects (i.e. reclamation; hydrology; dump design; third party engineering studies; blasting techniques & procedures).\nAssist in developing accurate metal plans, particularly for weekly plans.\nAssist Mine Operations department to determine equipment requirements.\nAssist other departments (Geology, Environmental, etc.) in organizing, scheduling, and carrying out projects in and around the pit.\nPresent mine plans in front of various group sizes and backgrounds.\nBe a leader, motivator, and embrace RNMC’s Zero Harm culture. Be able to work safely and in a team environment and communicate well with others.\nThe successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work safely and in a team environment and communicate well with others.\nPerform additional duties as needed to support the success of Robinson Nevada Mining Company and KGHM.\nRequired Qualifications:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering, Geologic Engineering or Civil Engineering.\nLicenses: Valid driver’s license.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience:\nOne to two (1-2) years of responsible mine engineering experience and/or Summer Internship experience.\nMine Operations/Supervision experience would be beneficial.\nOpen-pit mining operations experience.\nBasic knowledge of mine planning.\nTechnical Skills & Competencies:\nExcellent analytical, management, organization, communication and problem-solving skills.\nA working knowledge of MinePlan or other mine planning software package is preferred, but not required.\nExperience with acQuire, NPV Scheduler, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is preferred.\nBe a leader and motivator.\nTravel Requirements:\nOccasional for training or seminars.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nN/A\nAdditional Requirements:\nSuccessful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.\nAbility to meet the required physical demands, exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or 15 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly.\n\nWhat We Offer:\nRobinson Nevada Mining Company is committed to providing an exceptional experience that supports your physical, mental, financial, and emotional well-being.
