Under direct supervision, tasks could include all types of manual labor in cleaning and decontamination operations, vacuum projects and handling, packing, re-packing, unloading and loading containers for processing at site or transportation to appropriate facilities.\r\nPrimary Duties /Responsibilities:\r\nLoad and unload various size containers (totes, drums, tankers, trailers. etc.)\r\nConstruct boxes and/or fiber containers and stacks, labels, and loads containers.\r\nUse a variety of tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, jackhammers, etc.\r\nTransport hazardous waste materials from storage facilities within the facility as directed.\r\nDecontaminate and dispose of empty drums and/or containers according to RCRA and disposal guidelines.\r\nAssist in completing all necessary paperwork for processing materials to include transportation of materials to and from various locations.\r\nPerform general housekeeping duties.\r\nMaintain a clean, organized and safe work area.\r\nInspection material handling equipment as directed.\r\nAssist in the loading/unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials at designated sites utilizing appropriate equipment for which you are appropriately trained.\r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\nEducation / Experience / Background:\r\nHigh School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred\r\nPrior work experience of 3 to 6 months in the hazardous waste or chemical industry in a related position with proficiency in handling forklifts and a variety of tools preferred\r\nKnowledge / Skills / Abilities:\r\nAbility to communicate through reading and writing\r\nTrained in the use of material handling equipment\r\nRequired Certification / Licenses / Training:\r\n40-Hour HAZWOPER training preferred\r\nHourly Pay Range:Minimum of $20 to a maximum of $22\r\nBenefits:Veolia's comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, savings accounts, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
