You won’t just be writing code - you’ll be creating cutting-edge solutions that make charging more accessible, efficient, and reliable for drivers across the country. If working in a startup environment where your contributions shape the product and company excites you, this is the role for you.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\nBuild and maintain C++ components for embedded systems (security boot) on x86 and ARM-based Linux platforms.\nKeep our Embedded Android apps running efficiently with your expertise in Kotlin.\nMake sure our embedded systems connect seamlessly with the Loop Cloud using Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.\nImplement solutions using low-power radio protocols like BLE.\nDesign business logic that maximizes system efficiency, stability, and scalability.\nTake charge of building U-Boot and Linux builds, and customize device tree configurations for new hardware.\nWork closely with QA to ensure top-tier performance and troubleshoot hardware issues when needed.\nOwn the entire process from board bring-up to software release.\nWhat You’ll Bring\n5+ years of embedded software experience, with proven success in delivering impactful products.\n3+ years of C/C++ development experience, with a solid understanding of how to build robust systems.\nExpertise in Linux development for both host and target systems.\nA background in embedded systems design with real-time operating systems, and a knack for solving complex problems.\nA team player familiar with Git, JIRA, and peer review processes, who isn’t afraid to dive into troubleshooting.\nBonus points if you have experience with Android, Java, Node.js, and payment systems.\nExtra credit for familiarity with OCPP, ADR, ISO15118, Arm architecture, or experience with Python scripting, cryptography, and Bluetooth.\nA BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.\nWhy You’ll Love Loop\nMake a global impact by accelerating EV adoption and cutting carbon emissions.\nWork in a fast-paced startup environment where no two days are alike.\nJoin a high-energy, mission-driven team passionate about building a cleaner future.\nOwn your projects and watch your work come to life in the real world.\nThe Culture\nAt Loop, we move fast, think big, and innovate constantly.
