You will collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data to uncover trends, forecast demand, and assess supplier risk. With a strong foundation in data analytics and business intelligence tools, you will provide actionable insights that inform procurement strategies. You will work closely with IT and procurement teams to ensure data quality and develop dashboards and reports that support decision-making. Your expertise will be invaluable for our organization as we rely on data-driven approaches to enhance our procurement practices. Your ability to evaluate, improve, and sustain supplier performance will contribute significantly to our business objectives. Additionally, your knack for staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies will be crucial in informing our procurement decisions.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nBackend support of relationships in strategic and non-strategic cannabis suppliers\nDevelop and manage processes, establish policies, and develop value-adding strategies to our current platform\nEnsure procurement processes meets audit, regulatory, and legal standards\nWorks closely with procurement team for supplier performance measurements and reporting frameworks\nIntegral part of supplier selection process and managing the relationships of existing suppliers\nApplies business strategies to daily activities, contributes to make-buy decisions, identifies market opportunities, gaps and trends\nValidates data integrity, identifies data gaps, and updates & corrects system data\nWork environment is mostly office based; however, this position may visit internal production areas as well as external supplier sites, which may involve travel\nBuild relationships inside and outside of the supply chain organization; influencing, persuading, and collaborating with others in order to support business objectives\nEffectively evaluate, improve, and sustain supplier performance, including but not limited to: Quality, Cost, Delivery, Lead-time, Bid & Proposal Turn-times, Project & Field Support, etc\nDrives cost management through identifying and implementing opportunities for cost reduction, utilizes cost modeling techniques, and analyzing TCO to ensure the best overall value\nDevelop a network that allows the Senior Executives to leverage internal and external relationships to continuously improve responsiveness & service levels\nSupport NPI, strategic sourcing, and supplier selection to ensure flexible capacity and consistent supply from qualified suppliers to support business objectives\nUses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems\nUnearth root cause to assess risk to the business and develop business continuation plans\nPrepares monthly KPI and financial reports\nPrepare and present regular procurement reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and cost-saving opportunities\nStay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to make informed procurement decisions\n\nQualifications:\n2+ years of strategic sourcing/procurement and/or contract experience\nExperience with ERP, SCM, VCM, and/or Source-to-Pay tools\nExperience in team environments and supplier relationship management\nComfort with written and verbal communication of quantitative and qualitative information\nExperience being in a support role to procurement or sales, assisting with data collection, schedule administration, lead development, purchase order processes, and contact management, etc.\nExperience in contract development, administration, and/or management\nExperience managing multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment with several stakeholders\nEffective communicator in written and oral form\nOrganized, detailed and highly accurate in all reporting functions\nExperience preparing presentations and reports for senior management\nStrong data analysis and reporting skills\nGood time management skills and a willingness to go the extra mile\nHigh self-motivation and keen attention to detail are required\nAbility to multi task in a fast-paced organization\n\nEEOC: DreamFields is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
