Meade, MD. Qualified candidates must possess a minimum Top Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.\nThe overall objective of this position is to support the engineering and deployment of the Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) migration from Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) to Internet Protocol (IP) using DISA’s infrastructure.\nLead / support technical planning; requirements analysis; provisioning; test and analysis; and implementation of IP networks and systems\nEngineer IP transport / network architectures and designs\nTest and evaluate IP system and networks\nDevelop project plans of network equipment and services at various locations\nWork on all phases of solutions from analysis and design through implementation and support\nSupport the evolution from the existing architecture to a future IP converged environment\nLead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards\nParticipate / lead peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents; ensure that the requirements are interpreted correctly\nDevelop and present technical briefings; requirements documents; Analysis of Alternative (AoA) documents / Course of Action (CoA) documents; design documents; site survey documents; Bill of Materials (BOMs); Site Survey Reports; Technical or Telecommunication Site Implementation Plans (TSIPs); and project schedules.\nConduct market research activities, and coordinate with industry to develop and refine system concepts and designs\nDesign/support development of alternative system design solutions, configurations and evaluations\nDevelop/support system and network transition planning, installation and testing activities\nDeliverables shall include Technical Analysis White Papers/Engineering Reports, and Technical Briefs\nEvaluate and assess test tools for an IP converged network\nCreate and support simulation environments and test beds in the Fort Meade Laboratory and Testing Center (FMLTC) for testing and assessment of Tier II / Tier III anomalies and evaluate next generation network equipment\nPerform analysis of IP protocols and other metrics, which can assess the performance and quality of IP-based networks and services\nPerform operational disruptive test and evaluation of supporting VoIP spiral initiatives among the FMLTC, JTIC, and other certified laboratory facilities\nProvide operational engineering support, testing, and quality assurance checks of new and existing services\nDeliverables include test plans and reports, technical analysis white papers/engineering reports, and technical briefs/documentation\nRequired Skills\nIP networking\nHands on experience with IP devices to include routers, switches, firewalls, VMware, etc.\nKnowledge of secure/non-secure voice communications in support of senior level leadership within various government agencies\nKnowledge of JIE/JRSS/VPN/NIPRNET/SIPRNET\nSec+ or CISSP\nRequired Experience\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred, along with 5 years of hand-on industry or military experience\nKnowledge and experience using Internet Protocol (IP), Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), Unified Capabilities (UC) or Assured Services (AS-SIP); routing protocols (i.e. OSPF; BGP and ISIS) and Quality of Service (QoS)\n5+ years of experience with designing and implementing IP networks\n3+ years of experience with configuring Juniper; CISCO, Avaya, Microsoft UC solutions\nMust possess knowledge and hands-on experience in network testing\nMust have experience in performing technical project management for network projects\nOne of the following preferred: CCNA, JNCIA, CCNP-Voice or Wireless certification\nA minimum Top Secret clearance require with the ability to obtain TS/SCI\nJob Location\nFt.
