Circulating Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality perioperative and patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong assessment skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to support patients throughout the surgical continuum of care, including pre-operative and post-operative education and assessment. This role requires excellent communication, professionalism, patient safety awareness, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive patient assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.Deliver direct patient care while supporting perioperative and surgical nursing workflows.Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in patient status.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, patient education, and outcomes.Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures, pre-admission testing, post-operative care, and discharge instructions.Ensure compliance with patient safety goals, infection prevention standards, and proper patient identification protocols.Utilize safe patient handling and transfer techniques.Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures, anesthesia considerations, emergency equipment, and perioperative protocols.Collaborate with physicians, surgical staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.Support completion and review of Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) orders and identify any omissions or concerns.Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.Participate in ongoing quality improvement and professional development initiatives.QualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license required.Current BLS certification required.Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required.Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.CNOR certification preferred.Strong clinical assessment and perioperative nursing skills preferred.Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical or perioperative environment.Strong understanding of patient safety standards, emergency procedures, and perioperative care protocols.Important Details:8-week contract position (extensions available)Shift is 12.5-hour day shift (07:00 AM - 08:00 PM), 37.5 hrs/weekLocation is Summit NJ 07901Pay Range for Locals: $58 - $62 per hourPay Range for Travelers: $2,510 - $2,560 per weekCall to Action:Spots Are Filling Quickly — Apply Now!Company Description:“Pride Health offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors”Equal Employment OpportunityPride Health is an equal opportunity employer.
