Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Bring your expertise as a Surgical First Assist to a fast-paced, high-acuity operating room environment. This contract opportunity offers 12-hour shifts (7a-7p), with days varying based on unit needs. Block scheduling is not available. Multiple start dates are available throughout June, with positions filling quickly for those dates.Key Qualifications:Active NBSTA CST-First Assist certification required at application.Minimum of 2 years' experience working as an ORT-First Assist and in the operating room.Documented Scrub and First Assist experience, including handling orthopedic and spine cases, abdominal robotics, and plastics.Prior travel nursing experience required.Must live more than 75 miles from the facility (local travelers not accepted).Able to float within the OR as needed.Experience with a broad range of surgical cases: neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), burn, hepatic-biliary, robotic, and hybrid procedures.Comfortable working with adult/geriatric patients only; pediatric cases are managed elsewhere.Experience in large hospital settings preferred (56 OR beds, Level 1 trauma).Core Responsibilities:First Assist in high-volume, complex surgeries with an interdisciplinary team.Scrub and circulate for a variety of cases, supporting surgeons and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.Maintain a high standard of aseptic technique and patient safety.Collaborate and communicate effectively with surgical team members.Adapt quickly to varying OR assignments based on current needs.If you're ready to bring your advanced skills to a hospital that handles highly diverse and complex cases, apply today to secure your spot for an upcoming June start.
