Nearly 35 years ago, we brought the business to the US and the business has grown to 6 offices producing our leading products all across the US.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nManages a team of at least two (2) hourly Process Operators per shift.\nManages the day-to-day operations for the shift and the production line in the making of Polyglass products:\nTrains, motivates, and supervises production operators to ensure finished goods met product specifications, and that proper records are maintained.\nResponsible for managing attendance, creating schedules, reviewing and approval of employee timecards.\nInteracts with Human Resources and Plant Management to interview, select, train, coach, and terminate hourly production personnel at the plant.\nAvailable to handle phone calls after hours, as the needs of the business require.\nLeads special project teams as assigned by Plant Management.\nConducts initial RCCA investigations for safety incidents.\nAddresses absenteeism, including vacation planning, by scheduling manpower as needed to fulfil production demands.\nPromotes and enforces the health, safety, and environmental regulations by ensuring that standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements.\nAssures quality products are manufactured at the facility in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable governmental regulations.\nSchedules and assigns work, plans procedures for the manufacturing of products and timely shipment of customer and intercompany sales orders.\nPrepares and submits requested data for the preparation of production reports to plant staff, including products and quantities produced, hours worked, and significant happenings at the manufacturing site.\nInterfaces with, communicates to, and directs other plant and corporate personnel to insure efficient operations.\nEnsures operations functions effectively and that the daily data is collected accurately on all machines.\nProvides information at the daily production meetings regarding the current line status, including issues, causes, and preventative techniques used to prevent further issues.\nPerforms other duties as required.\n\nQualifications:\n\n Required:\n\nRequires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook, and PowerPoint.\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nTwo years of industry experience or any equivalent combination of related training and experience.\nRequires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record\n\nPreferred:\n\nBachelor’s degree in related field preferred.\nPrevious supervisory experience in a production environment preferred.\n\nWork Environment:\n\nThe Production Supervisor will be located at one of the Polyglass plant locations.\nWork environment varies from an office setting to periodic exposure to the typical elements in the manufacturing facilities (i.e. dust, moderate noise, close proximity to semi-automated manufacturing equipment, and hot and cold climates.)\nMust be able to work around hot asphalt tanks, lines and pumps on an intermittent basis.\nPhysical Requirements:\nStanding 8 – 12 hours a day.\nLifting up 60 lbs alone and up to 120 lbs assisted.\nAbility to climb stairs often and ladders periodically.\nAbility to work shift work.\nVisual Acuity (including color perception).\nGood Hearing.\nAll hires will be subject to a pre-employment physical\n\nBenefits: In addition to very competitive pay, our benefits are unmatched in our industry and include features that are not available at other local employers.
