Our work involves critical lifts, engineered rigging operations, and high-risk environments where execution quality directly impacts safety and profitability.OverviewThe Project Engineer III or Senior Project Engineer is responsible for leading technical planning and engineering support for complex and high-risk crane, rigging, and steel erection projects. This role ensures that work is engineered, planned, and executed with precision, with a strong focus on risk mitigation, safety, and operational alignment.This position plays a critical role in bridging engineering and field execution, providing technical leadership and driving disciplined project planning.Primary Focus AreasTechnical Leadership | Complex Lift Planning | Execution Strategy | Risk Mitigation | Field Integration | Safety LeadershipKey ResponsibilitiesLead development and review of engineered lift plans and execution strategiesEvaluate complex project requirements, constraints, and risk factorsProvide technical direction and support to Project Engineers and Operations teamsEnsure alignment between engineering plans and field execution through active engagementSupport planning and execution of critical and high-risk operationsIdentify, assess, and mitigate technical and operational risksEnsure compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety standardsPerformance ExpectationsLeads technical planning for complex, high-risk projectsEnsures engineering plans are accurate, executable, and aligned with field conditionsDrives coordination across engineering, operations, and field teamsReduces execution risk through proactive planning and technical oversightRequirementsBachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, or related field) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) license or strong progress toward licensure preferred7+ years of relevant construction or engineering experienceDemonstrated experience supporting complex construction or heavy lift operationsAdvanced ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical requirementsStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience with lift planning, rigging, or heavy construction operations preferredAbility to travel to jobsites as neededAbility to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checkWorking ConditionsCombination of office and active construction jobsite environmentsRegular field exposure including uneven terrain and elevated work areas Equal Employment OpportunitySuperior Rigging and Erecting is an equal opportunity employer.
