Certified Medical Assistant - Remote

TSI is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to act as a centralized clinical resource to facilitate quality gap closure. The Medical Assistant will assist in scheduling and requesting orders for patient exams. To be successful in this role, you will need to be certified from a medical assistant program and have at least one to two years of prior experience in a medical setting. Responsibilities: Schedule appointments for patient consultations, procedures and visits with medical personnel Updating/ requesting orders via EPIC client system, including but not limited to: Mammo; Colon; A1C; Neuropathy; WCC; Annual Wellness; Basic Metabolic; Panel; Dexa Bone Density; Hospital TCM; Fit Kit; Cologuard; Eye exam Enter all patient data accurately in client system for medical reference Liaise and coordinate with health care professionals about schedules, patients and any changes Resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential Serves and protects the physician or health care provider practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, HIPAA, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required Eligible candidates must have certification from a medical assistant program 1-2 years’ prior experience in a medical office setting Experience with EPIC platform for patient scheduling required Experience with clinical roles for the population health scope of work is a plus Strong work ethic that exhibits high ethical and moral standards Must be able to communicate effectively, with high interpersonal skills to assist patients Physical Requirements: Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend and reach Ability to reach with hands and arms Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30lbs For Remote Positions: The minimum internet speed requirements for remote work are as follows: Broadband internet connection (No DSL, or Dial Up) Hard wired connection required (no Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspots) Speed Test Results: 25 mbps download, 20 mbps upload This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that a team member in this position may be asked to perform.
