This approach ensures our network is flexible and powerful, designed to satisfy the social, economic, and transformative needs of the changing world.Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure Design:Architect and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions across AWSDesign and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS) for containerized workloadsNeed hands on experience in Rolling Upgrade & Blue-Green Deployment strategies tailored to diverse workload requirementsNeed Intense experience in EKS upgrade from 1.27 to EKS 1.31DevOps Leadership:Lead the adoption and implementation of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipelineAutomate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormationOptimize build, deployment, and release processes to accelerate delivery cyclesKubernetes and Containerization:Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliabilityDevelop Helm charts and manage deployments using best practices for Kubernetes security and governanceTroubleshoot critical Kubernetes issues, including Pods, Networking, PVCs, and Node failuresSupport cloud-hosted systems in a 24x7 environment including troubleshooting, hotfixing, and root cause analysisMonitoring and Observability:Implement robust monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK StackDevelop dashboards and alerts to ensure proactive resolution of performance and security issuesSecurity and Compliance:Enforce best practices for cloud security, IAM policies, and Kubernetes security (e.g., RBAC, PodSecurityPolicies, network policies)Ensure compliance with industry standards like GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2Collaboration and Mentorship:Partner with software development, QA, and operations teams to align infrastructure with business goalsMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilitiesAdvocate for and implement DevSecOps practices within the organizationSkills, Experience And RequirementsEducation and Experience:Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or related fieldsSkills And QualificationsExpertise in Kubernetes (EKS) and container orchestrationStrong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or CrossplaneAdvanced knowledge of AWS cloud ecosystemStrong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Go)Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or DatadogPreferred SkillsKubernetes certifications (CKA, CKS, or CKAD).Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps EngineerSalary RangesCompensation: $110,100.00/Year - $180,900.00/YearBenefitsWe offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: EchoStar Benefits.The base pay range shown is a guideline.
