Ecological Restoration Engineer/Designer (entry-level)
Provide technical and physical assistance to water and natural resource projects relating to restoration ecology, landscape design and management, and green infrastructure.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with water resources projects including tasks associated with field data collection, construction oversight, document preparation and file management.
Support restoration design planning/layout/permitting.
Participate in the development of plans, details, and specifications for restoration projects as a member of the design team.
Provide drafting support using AutoCAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D).
Provide construction observation.
Conduct surface water and water quality calculations, data analysis, for restoration, green infrastructure, hydraulics/hydrology and permit applications.
Prepare technical memos and reports.

Education & Experience:
0-3 years’ experience, bachelor’s degree in engineering, restoration ecology, Landscape Architecture, or similar discipline.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual communications and meeting platforms.
Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D to design and draft construction drawings.
Background and knowledge in stream mechanics, natural channel design, aquatic and/or terrestrial ecology, fisheries, GIS, and GPS equipment a plus.
Job Essentials:
Traveling to client sites that will require occasional overnight and/or extended travel.
Working in the field during all types of weather conditions (hot and cold) as well as in and around lakes, rivers, streams; and industrial facilities
Use of marine vessels
Field work may include lifting objects up to 50 lb
Maintain a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
