The role focuses on developing robust mechanical solutions with close coordination with electrical systems, supporting project delivery from concept through commissioning, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The successful candidate must hold EIT certification and demonstrate experience with electrical systems integration.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop mechanical system designs for HVAC, piping, ductwork and related equipment, including calculations, sizing and selection of components.\nProduce and review P&IDs, HVAC flow diagrams and equipment layout drawings to support project requirements.\nCreate and update detailed models and drawings using Revit and AutoCAD; develop ductwork/piping routing plans and equipment layouts.\nCoordinate mechanical designs with electrical systems and other disciplines to ensure integrated project solutions and resolve interface issues.\nPrepare specifications, equipment lists, and procurement support documentation; review vendor drawings and submittals.\nPerform site visits, surveys and commissioning support; address field issues and implement design changes as required.\nEnsure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements; perform design checks and quality control reviews.\nProvide technical support during construction, facilitate communication with contractors, and assist with troubleshooting.\nDocument design decisions, prepare technical reports and present findings to project teams and clients.\nMentor junior engineers and support development of engineering deliverables and project schedules.\nQualifications\nBachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.\nEngineer in Training (EIT) certification required.\nProven experience working with electrical systems and coordinating mechanical-electrical interfaces.\nStrong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, HVAC systems, piping systems and equipment selection.\nProficiency with mechanical design software and drafting tools; experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred.\nExperience creating and interpreting P&IDs, HVAC flow diagrams, equipment layouts and ductwork/piping routing plans.\nFamiliarity with mechanical design packages and standards, and experience conducting design calculations and code compliance checks.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.\nDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities within project timelines.\nPrior experience in project-based engineering roles and experience supporting construction and commissioning activities is preferred.\nBenefits\nBenefits:\n90% employer paid healthcare for the entire family. 100% employer paid dental.\n3 weeks annual paid vacation to start.\n1 week annual paid sick leave\n12 paid holidays\nRetirement Plan - IRA + 3% match\nAnnual reviews with merit raises based on performance.\nQuarterly production bonuses\nFor this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
