We serve livestock producers, equine owners and animal lovers across North America, providing the guidance, products and service they need to succeed — whether in the market or the show ring.\n\nJob Summary\nThe Packaging Operator III role is responsible for operating all sacking equipment to sack, with proper packaging, feeds from supply bins per Akralos specified feed formulations and packaging rates. This includes but is not limited to the operation of delivery equipment, scales, bag hangers, and scales, sewing heads, various conveyors and other packaging equipment. This is a 1st shift role with a working schedule of 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.\n\nFacility Expectation\n\nFollow the expectations of all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards.\nEnsure product quality expectations are met.\nFollow all facility Good Manufacturing Practices as required.\nResponsible for ensuring area is kept clean and completion of all listed housekeeping duties per the master sanitation schedule.\nWork with other Operations colleagues to effectively communicate production issues.\nOnce qualified, provide mentoring and training to new colleagues.\nRequired to work overtime as specified by management.\nAttend training classes in-plant or at other locations as assigned.\nWork Duties\n\nRequired to follow the production lineup to package all feeds in accordance with Akralos Product Specifications and established quality guidelines.\nNotify Plant Leadership, if any out- of- spec quality conditions exist. This includes checking bag weights, proper clean- out, sequencing, labeling and other quality concerns before, during and after a packaging run. Must have adequate quality training.\nSafely and efficiently operate all necessary equipment at all times (i.e. fork truck, etc.).\nComplete assigned work orders, paperwork and tasks in a timely manner.\nProvide training as necessary for new and existing employees when needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned by Plant Leadership.\nMinimum Requirements\n\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent\nGood customer service must be exhibited at all times.\nMust be able to lift up to 55 lbs.\nMust be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces\nAbility to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, and gloves when required\nAbility to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet working conditions\nAbility to work with allergens that might be present in a manufacturing environment\nSelf-motivated with a solid work ethic\nGood attitude and works well in team atmosphere.\nHandles other duties as required.\nMaintain excellent attendance.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced team that values your expertise and invests in your growth.
