Payroll Administrator

The Payroll Specialist II serves as an initial point of contact for U.S. payroll and select human resources functions. This role supports employees and managers by responding to payroll‑related inquiries via phone and email and assists with payroll processing, compliance, and HR services delivery.About the RoleThis role supports employees and managers by responding to payroll‑related inquiries via phone and email and assists with payroll processing, compliance, and HR services delivery.ResponsibilitiesMaintain a 100% commitment to safety policies and proceduresProcess U.S. payroll and support year‑end reporting activitiesCoordinate resolution of payroll issues using a case management systemAssist with the implementation and administration of HR programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with applicable regulationsReconcile payments and complete required reporting for applicable fees and costsProvide HR system support by researching and resolving system issues, unexpected results, or process gapsAssist with validation and testing of HRIS system updates and configuration changes (Workday experience preferred)Develop and maintain process and procedure documentation for HR services delivery, including manager workflows, billing processes, integrations, and vendor funding supportSupport HR services related to future business acquisitionsProcess employment verifications, garnishments, and unemployment claimsPartner with third‑party vendors to research and resolve issuesPerform additional duties as assigned QualificationsDemonstrated experience with U.S. payroll processingWorking knowledge of multi‑state payroll tax regulationsBachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience in an HR or payroll services roleAdvanced experience using Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsStrong understanding of payroll, benefits, and human resources policies and practicesAbility to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive informationStrong listening skills with the ability to apply policies and resources to resolve issuesEffective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentComfortable working in an evolving or undefined setting Required SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with professional phone etiquetteAbility to handle sensitive and stressful situations with professionalism and discretionStrong organizational and prioritization skills; able to interact effectively with individuals at all levelsHigh attention to detail with strong problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environmentAdvanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, email, and HR/payroll systems Preferred SkillsExperience with Workday Excellent benefits, generous PTO and annual bonus opportunity!
