Come join the excellence!\n\nOverview\nSUMMARY OF ROLE\n\nThis role will involve participation at all stages of the project lifecycle, including contribution to pre‑sales and bids, requirements analysis, solution design and systems architecture, documentation, testing, implementation, and post‑implementation support.\n\nResponsibilities\nPrincipal Responsibilities\n\nProvide effort and cost estimates for new project work.\n\nLiaise with customers and internal teams to define and document system requirements.\n\nLiaise with vendors and third parties to define and document system requirements.\n\nAnalyse and design technical solutions to meet user requirements and resolve issues.\n\nConduct impact analysis and produce technical designs for changes relating to card scheme mandates (including but not limited to LINK, Visa, MasterCard, Union Pay International, DFS/Diners, American Express, JCB).\n\nProduce test documentation for new software releases, including test plans, test conditions, and test scripts, in line with TNS Test Methodology and procedures.\n\nProduce operational procedures for project-related and support-related changes.\n\nProduce implementation instructions and release control documentation.\n\nAct as a technical interface to the TNS Test Team, driving issue resolution with all required internal and external parties. Support technical setup of test tools and simulators where required.\n\nSupport and perform software implementation tasks.\n\nFully document solutions and provide technical handover to relevant TNS teams, including Development, Support, and Operations.\n\nEnsure technical standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle in alignment with TNS development and technical standards.\n\nEnsure technical solutions meet all required compliance and security mandates, including PCI‑DSS.\n\nTake technical ownership of end‑to‑end solutions.\n\nProvide peer review and technical support to other TNS Development team members.\n\nQualifications\nADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nEnsure that the Company’s overall Quality Objectives are met in the execution of job responsibilities.\n\nContribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and procedures.\n\nComply with the current TNS Information Security Policy.\n\nMaintain confidentiality when handling customer information and payment data.\n\nUnderstand and adhere to contractual requirements to ensure the integrity of data and the availability of services at all times.\n\nUnderstand and apply the appropriate departmental standards.\n\nReport progress to management.\n\nProvide handover of work to other TNS Development team members as required.\n\nPerform other duties as may be required.\n\nCandidate Requirements\nPersonal Skills\n\nTechnical leadership\n\nApplications analysis\n\nLogical approach to problem solving\n\nConsistent attention to detail\n\nStructured analytical approach\n\nHigh level of accuracy\n\nGood written and verbal communication skills\n\nStrong time management skills\n\nProfessional approach to client and supplier management\n\nAbility to multitask\n\nFlexibility\n\nDesired Technical Skills\n\nDatabases (SQL desirable)\n\nGood understanding of one or more operating systems, ideally Windows and Linux\n\nUnderstanding of payment systems and protocols (e.g., ISO 8583)\n\nDesired Knowledge / Experience\n\nPrevious use of an industry-strength payment application (e.g., Postilion, Tango, Authentic)\n\nKnowledge of payment schemes (e.g., LINK, Visa, MasterCard, UnionPay, Diners, JCB, American Express)\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications\n\nUnderstanding of PCI DSS requirements\n\nExperience in system analysis and design\n\nExperience with testing\n\nAdditional Useful Knowledge / Experience\n\nIBM Mainframe (including COBOL programming)\n\nVisual Basic programming\n\nJava programming\n\nScripting languages\n\nFileXpress / SFTP\n\nIf you are passionate about technology, love personal growth and opportunity, come see what TNS is all about!\n\nTNS is an equal opportunity employer.
