Staff Accountant II - Pulaski, TN - Hybrid
Staff Accountant II will be responsible for ensuring a high degree of accuracy in a wide variety of general accounting tasks of moderate difficulty requiring the use of some independent judgment. The role requires the candidate to be detail-oriented, quick learner, problem solver, collaborative, and focused on getting the job done with excellence. Assignments are given in general terms and are subject to periodic review while in progress and upon completion.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Perform financial close process including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, maintaining subledger, and other analyses under SOX
Perform reconciliation and review/prepare invoices/memos for adjudicated gross to net transactions
Prepare reports and file sales and use tax within appropriate jurisdictions
Maintains fixed assets by reviewing expenditures for fixed asset purchases, entering into system, running depreciation, and reconciling to the general ledger.
Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data
Support external reporting process and SEC deadlines
Maintains financial security by establishing and adhering to internal controls.
Assist with quarterly and annual audits performed by internal and external auditors.
Proactively identify issues, drive continuous improvement, optimize and automate processes/systems
Provide support for special projects, initiatives, and analyses
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field plus;
3 – 5 years of applicable accounting experience and/or demonstrated ability to perform intermediate level functions relevant to the positions with minimal supervision
Proficient computer skills on MS Office (specifically Excel), accounting software and databases
Working knowledge of US GAAP
Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions
Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities PREFERRED
Moderate project management skills with the ability to anticipate events, prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment
Exposure to SOX and internal control environment
Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
Oracle EBS knowledge a plus
Pharmaceutical industry knowledge
Supervisory Duties
No Supervisory Duties. May mentor or direct the work of lower-level accountants and/or student interns.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

POSITIONS TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position with general hours of work during day shift hours. Hybrid position, 6 days a month in office in either our Fountain Run, KY location or Pulaski, TN location.
TRAVEL
This position will require travel to various locations within the organizational structure, to training and meetings, etc.
