Mechanical Estimator

Responsibilities:Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs for mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy in pricing and material quantities.Prepare detailed bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, schedules, and risk assessments.Monitor project budgets during execution to support cost control efforts and identify potential overruns early.Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.Review contracts, change orders, and project documentation to ensure alignment with estimates and project goals.Develop comprehensive mechanical cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and drawings using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and scope of work.Qualifications:5+ years of mechanical estimating experience in HVACConstruction background preferredStrong proficiency in estimating softwareAble to read blueprints
