Housekeeper/Utility Worker- PER DIEM

Housekeeper/Utility Worker Boys & Girls Village offers an array of services for children and their families. The services range from highly structured sub-acute services on campus to intensive intervention and care in the home and community. The function of the Facilities Department is to provide and maintain resources necessary for the Agency to run effectively and efficiently.Position Overview The Housekeeper/Utility Worker performs daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping tasks for the residencies, the schools, and the administration building at all BGV sites. The Housekeeper/Utility Worker will also assist facilities and food service as needed. This role is considered and classified as "essential" to the operation of the agency.Essential Functions and Responsibilities Sweep, mop, and vacuum all floors/rugsBuff, strip, and wax floorsDust all areas, including vents, light fixtures, furniture, and window sillsWash windows & Curtains in all areasSoiled linens washed and foldedEnsure closets are clean/orderly/lockedEnsure that there are enough snacks and utensilsClean refrigerator and check dates on foodBathroom: clean, disinfect, and ensure toiletries are refilledEmpty all trashEnsures that only approved nontoxic chemicals are locked in the unit closetsAssist with snow shoveling & removalBio clean upDeliver food and supplies to other BGV locationsSteam clean carpeting & furnitureOther Duties and Responsibilities Carries out other job-related duties as assignedMaintain Relias and agency trainingsInforms supervisor immediately of any concerns or safety risks noted on the unitsEssential Qualifications/Skills High school diplomaExperience with Housekeeping as well as various hand tools performing preventive maintenance and minor repairs, also maintaining outside grounds and walks.Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions both orally and in written communication.Ability to relate to clients, staff and public in a courteous mannerMust have valid driver's license at all times and good driving record.As essential staff, you must be able to work outside normal business hours or call in, if needed.
