Welder Level 1

We are looking for experienced Welders for our Marion, WI facility. In this role you will ensure that assigned assembly functions are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures and that quality standards are met or exceeded, and that related documentation is accurate and complete. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSWelder 1 duties:Responsible for assembly of finished goods.Will perform mounting of trays, shelves, tool boards and doorsWelders need to make clean lines and cuts when weldingUse disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding.Rotate to different workstations in order to achieve a balanced line flowOperate manual and automated welding units and equipment by depositing metal from electrode to work piece and joins edges of work piece.Maintain length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead.Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding).Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in a jig fixture.Tack assemblies together/mig weld material together.SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONSInterpret MBW safety policies/practices to employees including ensuring safe work practices and company policies are followed.Complete Non-conformance using quality program for quality issues and deviations, and all purchasing, order processing, and engineering inaccuracies so corrective action can be takenUtilize available data to continuously improve productivity, uptime and reliabilityServe as backup for other positions within the department.Assist in training, organizing of other employees in work cellWorking knowledge of PPAP and other inspection processesCompliance with all environmental, OSHA and quality standardsOther tasks as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIESWelder 1 Ability to efficiently function in fast-paced work environmentComputer skills (Welder 1) ProficientMust be able to interpret work orders, drawings, blueprints, production scheduleProfessional verbal and written communication skills.Qualified vertical, flat and horizontal position using electrode, MIG welding equipmentQualified to MBW, PQR and WPS code standardsFollow written communications and verbal instructionsBasic knowledge in shop math, be able to convert decimals and fractions, measure and build to within specifications, check work for dimensional accuracy and correct as neededProficient knowledge to use various power and machine tools. Must be able to use hand tools and measuring devices, as well as assembly fixtures to complete assembliesBasic electrical knowledgeStrong organizational skills and attention to detail requiredPerform 6S checks in area and report items not completedWork independently without needing direct supervisionDemonstrate complete knowledge of mission, value, and ethics statement.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEPrefer manufacturing experience and welding experiencePrefer High School Diploma or GED equivalent
