To alleviate poverty, we deliver a variety of services including childcare, education, workforce development, nutrition, health, and community and housing support.\r\nPosition Overview\r\nThe Program Coordinator oversees the CFCE program in collaboration with the CFCE Director. They also coordinate CFCE activities, community outreach and family support.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nPromote family education, engagement, and literacy\r\nPlan and execute CFCE community playgroup, parent activities and community events.\r\nConduct Early Literacy workshop for families using Read and Rise model\r\nProvide resource and referral support to families\r\nBuild and maintain open, friendly, and informative relationship with families, providers, and other community partners.\r\nPartner with other community members to offer families a variety of opportunities to participate in developmental appropriate, literacy activities to promote school readiness.\r\nImplement required program assessments (ASQ screenings) and play group evaluations\r\nPlan and implement Early Ed Advisory Council meeting quarterly; prepare agenda, type minutes, recruit members from your community\r\nIncrease knowledge of and accessibility to high quality early education and care programs and services for families with children prenatal through school-age.\r\nProvide support and information to families with children transitioning between early education and care settings, home, and school.\r\nCreate monthly calendars and newsletters to disseminate in the community\r\nWork cooperatively with other MOC CFCE program coordinators.\r\nConduct community outreach by way of distributing information, newsletters, and flyers to inform the community about CFCE and to recruit new advisory council members.\r\nAssume the responsibility to work independently and meet program timelines.\r\nAssist CFCE with purchase of program supplies\r\nRequired Qualifications and Skills\r\nAA in Early Childhood Education, Human Services or a high school diploma plus 5 years of experience with demonstrated knowledge in human service or early childhood education or family literacy; ora minimum of high school diploma and 5 years experience with demonstrated knowledge in human service or early childhood education or family literacy.\r\nStrong knowledge of and a commitment to low-income population and issues affecting these families\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nMust be able to lift up to 20 lbs\r\nAbility to sit, stand, walk, talk, use a keyboard, use a telephone, and climb stairs\r\nThe employee must have the ability to commute frequently to home visits, offices, and other locations as needed.\r\nOther duties\r\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.\r\nCompensation\r\nA salary within the range of $20.43 to $27.64 per hour will be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with the MOC compensation philosophy.
