{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"19b16f0a980142e5c8b0f707","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/19b16f0a980142e5c8b0f707","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/19b16f0a980142e5c8b0f707","title":"BIM Coordinator","description":"Position Overview\n\nWe are seeking an experienced *Mechanical BIM Coordinator / VDC Coordinator* with hands-on mechanical trade experience and a strong background in *3D coordination*.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have experience leading coordination efforts on complex *hospitals, laboratories, central utility plants, and large institutional projects*, with expertise across mechanical, piping, plumbing, and sheet metal disciplines.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n* Lead and coordinate 3D mechanical coordination efforts across project teams.\n* Develop CAD-generated mechanical layouts based on project specifications.\n* Create fabrication drawings, spool drawings, and coordination drawings for fabrication shop and field use.\n* Perform field and 3D coordination to identify and resolve mechanical conflicts.\n* Coordinate mechanical systems with other trades and project disciplines.\n* Develop detailed 3D coordination models for project execution.\n* Review equipment layouts and mechanical system requirements.\n* Support coordination of:\n* Mechanical systems\n* HVAC systems\n* Process systems\n* Advanced plumbing systems\n* Piping systems\n* Sheet metal systems\n* Identify design and installation conflicts and develop practical field solutions.\n* Work independently to meet project deadlines and coordination milestones.\n* Collaborate with field personnel, project managers, fabrication teams, engineers, and other stakeholders.\n\nRequired Technical Skills\n\n* *Revit*\n* *SYSQue*\n* *Navisworks*\n* *AutoCAD*\n* 3D modeling and coordination\n* Field coordination\n* Mechanical layout development\n* Fabrication and spool drawings\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n* *3-5 years of relevant field experience* in mechanical 3D coordination.\n* Demonstrated experience resolving mechanical conflicts in the field.\n* Previous experience creating *3D coordination drawings*.\n* Experience with complex:\n* Hospitals\n* Laboratories\n* Central Utility Plants\n* Large institutional projects\n* Experience across *three mechanical disciplines*, including:\n* Sheet Metal\n* Piping\n* Plumbing\n* Hands-on understanding of mechanical trades and installation requirements.\n* Experience with equipment and systems associated with mechanical, HVAC, process, and advanced plumbing applications.\n* Ability to produce detailed, accurate mechanical layouts and coordination drawings.\n* Strong understanding of constructability and field installation requirements.\n\nImportant Experience Requirement\n\nRelevant experience must involve *3D coordination performed on comparable construction projects*.\n\n*Engineering design experience or 2D CAD experience alone will not be considered equivalent.*\n\nAdditional Requirements\n\n* Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.\n* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.\n* Ability to meet strict and inflexible project deadlines.\n* Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.\n* Dedicated, self-motivated, and organized.\n* Stable employment history.\n* Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.\n* Willingness to work assigned hours and schedules based on project requirements.\n* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\n\n* *$70,000 -
