Position Summary:
Manufacturing Innovation Specialist is a dynamic position focused on ensuring equipment inspections align with STARPLUS ENERGY standards and driving the implementation of lean manufacturing methodology. This entails conducting thorough equipment inspections and maintaining strict compliance as well as working closely with teams to optimize processes, eliminate waste, and enhance overall productivity by driving the implementation of the 5S methodology. The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a keen eye for process optimization, excellent communication skills, and a passion for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position reports to the Manufacturing Innovation Manager.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Understand and perform detailed inspections, including fastening, operation, pneumatic, transmission, lubrication, electric, instrumentation and control for new and existing equipment throughout the plant to ensure it meets STARPLUS ENERGY standards.
Diagnose equipment issues and keep equipment standards up to date.
Lead the planning, development, and execution of 5S initiatives across various work areas
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with industry standards and regulations, ensuring a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
Manage reports and documentation of lean manufacturing related activities, SOPs, Work Standards, safety assessments, and improvement initiatives, and prepare regular reports to track progress and address identified issues.
Perform other position related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
Basic:
High School Diploma
Minimum Age: 18 years old
Must be eligible to work in the United States
While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
Ability to use basic statistical tools and basic measurement tools (height gauge, Vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, etc.)
Must have knowledge of all Inspection Records, SPC Charts and checking fixtures
Exhibit excellent interpersonal abilities, effectively engaging with individuals at various organizational levels
Detail-oriented self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work at a quick pace
The ability to draw conclusions, make recommendations aligned with team goals, and anticipate potential scenarios
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred:
Higher Education degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
2 to 5 years of experience in Manufacturing industry with a focus on equipment maintenance and Lean Manufacturing Methodologies
Knowledge in OSHA standards related to manufacturing equipment
Knowledge of data analysis using MS Excel, MS Access, or other database applications
Experience or knowledge about large production lines, PFMEA, and process control
Working Conditions:
Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time
Ability to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicals
Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 / year
Additional Details : Salary within the posted range is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
