{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"19a0e17bb958e745626f9fde","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/19a0e17bb958e745626f9fde","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/19a0e17bb958e745626f9fde","title":"EHS Manager","description":"Thrive with Volt!\nVolt is immediately hiring a EHS Manager in American Canyon, CA.\nAs a EHS Manager, you will:\nThe Health, Safety and Environment Manager implement, oversees, and adapts policies and programs to improve the organization’s health, safety and environmental performance, ensure it complies with current and future regulations and standards, including CAL OSHA, Federal OSHA and DEP regulations, and protect its reputation\nManage all aspects of the plant environmental, health, and safety (EHS) activities to ensure that the organization complies with external EHS regulations and standards as well as internal environmental policies and EHS management systems\nIdentifying and implementing internal systems to measure KPI’s as defined in corporate policies such as LTAs, near misses, hazard reduction and safety talks\nDesigning action plans for continuous improvements and risk reduction\nUnderstand and keep current with CAL OSHA and Federal OSHA and other governmental regulations while acting as primary point of contact for regulatory agencies.\nActing as driving force with other departments relating to Environmental, Safety and Health activities\nCollaborate, Coach, and support the Organization to develop risk awareness and management behaviors.\nReview subcontractor safety guidelines and practices to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies\nReview PPE standards and establish engineering controls where feasible to supplement PPE effectiveness\nThis is a full-time 6-month contract opportunity.\nSchedule: Monday-Friday 8am -5pm. Overtime may be required and shift hours subject to change.\nThe ideal candidate must have:\nBachelor or Masters in EHS or other relevant discipline\nFive years or more experience in manufacturing environment\nSAP knowledge a plus\nExcellent knowledge of Management Systems is a plus (QSE, QHSE, OHSAS, ISO45001) Skills and Special Requirements/Licensing:\nExperience in major investment projects is a plus\nOSHA 30 Preferred; ASP or CSP Preferred\nAbility to multi-task and work independently\nTeam player with good communication skills\nLean manufacturing / Kaizen / Six Sigma knowledge is a plus\nExcellent computer skills in Microsoft and Google Suite\nPay Rate: $38.46-$43.26 per hour DOE\nPay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.\nQualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
