And we’re reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.\n\nIn this role, you will:\n\nPerform structural dynamic analyses for missile and spacecraft flight hardware\n\nProvide technical guidance to programs in their planning and execution of structural analysis and test\n\nProduce and maintain models generated from both in‑house and commercially available software codes, that simulate mechanical loading conditions, mechanism deployment motions, and the response behavior of mission events\n\nPerform loads development (primary structure and component level), shock and vibration environments determination and component and system level testing and data evaluation\n\nPrepare test plans; vibration, modal and shock test execution, and post‑test reports. You will be an important part of our product development team, where effective communication is critical\n\nHave the ability to work with a multi‑disciplined team performing structural design trades, preliminary and detailed design/analysis activity and performance and maintenance assessments of operational systems\n\nSupport dynamic test definitions, requirements development, test monitoring, data reduction, and comparison to analysis efforts\n\nProvide user documentation and recommendations to data packages to support peer and customer reviews, present analysis data to engineering teams, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel at technical interchange meetings and design reviews\n\nProvide review, interpretation, flow down, and implementation of program requirements, and plan tasks and review budget and schedule to reduce cost and cycle time\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\nExperience in structural dynamics, through education, research, or practical experience\n\nPractical and applied experience with vibration, modal, acoustic, or dynamic testing and analysis\n\nFamiliarity with finite element analysis tools such as NASTRAN, NX, or similar modeling software\n\nWorking knowledge of structural analysis principles, including simplified methods (e.g., hand calculations or lumped‑parameter modeling)\n\nExposure to engineering analysis supporting any stage of product development—from early concepts to detailed design\n\nActive or Current Top Secret clearance; US Citizenship Required\n\nDesired Skills\n\nA Master's degree is strongly preferred for this position\n\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment\n\nExperience working in the defense industry with practical hands on experience\n\nExperience with missile test programs and investigating anomalies\n\nAbility and desire to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently\n\nExperience evaluating designs using rigid body or flexible body analysis methods and tools\n\nMechanisms, antenna, electronic component, ground support, hoisting, and test support equipment, and composite materials analysis experience\n\nExperience with NX/Nastran, Abaqus, ADAMS, LS‑DynA, Matlab, Mathcad and CREO\n\nStatic, vibration, acoustic, modal, shock test experience of aerospace flight hardware\n\nCreativity/innovation to tackle issues related to anomalous performance of any aspect of a mechanical system\n\nSecurity Clearance Statement\nThis position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Top Secret.\n\nPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is 85,500 – 150,765.
