We achieve this stature because Bourns employees excel in the development of new products and continuous improvement processes that keep the company a global leader in delivering outstanding service.\n\nSUMMARY OF POSITION:\nResponsible for the mechanical and visual auditing of all production processes to ensure that the required level of quality is maintained as required per prints, control plans, and procedures and documenting audit results to maintain traceability.\n\nDuties And Accountabilities\n\nWork under close direction of the designated supervisor.\n\nSet-up and perform dimensional testing using automated computer-controlled measuring equipment.\n\nPerform mechanical tests and audits using various micrometers, calipers, comparators, toolmakers microscope, Scales, height gages, dial and test indicators, plug, pin, and ring gages, surface roughness, thread gages, etc.\n\nRecord audit results and report non-conformances to supervisor.\n\nAbility to perform basic shop math (decimals, percentages, and fractions).\n\nAbility to adequately read and record data accurately and neatly.\n\nWorking knowledge of statistical process controls.\n\nAbility to understand traceability records, W/O’s, reject tags, ID tickets, variances, stop productions and basic quality procedures.\n\nMust understand the need for and possess skills to perform precise, repeatable and accurate measurements.\n\nHave working knowledge of sampling plans.\n\nPerform other related duties as assigned\n\nEducation\nBASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh school graduate or equivalent preferred. Ability to perform basic math functions (decimal, percent & fractions). Basic computer skills (excel, word, & power point).\n\nTraining And Experience\nExperience with various test equipment is preferred.\n\nInterpersonal Skills\nAbility to interact well with all departments in order to achieve company objectives.\n\nOral\nRequires good oral communication skills.\n\nWritten\nRequires good writing skills.\n\nEquipment Operated\nVarious test equipment to include, oscilloscope, tool maker’s microscope, calipers, micrometers, scales, smart scope, etc.\n\nWorking Environment\nAir conditioned manufacturing type environment.\n\nHiring Range\n$18.60-$25 hourly\n\nBourns is an equal opportunity employer.
