GuidePoint Security is seeking an experienced Vulnerability Management Engineer to join our delivery practice in the Mid-Atlantic.SummaryAs a Vulnerability Management Engineer (Qualys), you will be part of a team of highly skilled engineers providing delivery services for customers in several verticals, including retail, finance, healthcare, and more. Your primary responsibilities revolve around partnering with our customers to advise, develop, implement, and optimize all components of the vulnerability management lifecycle.Role and ResponsibilitiesExecute and manage vulnerability scanning of internal, external, and cloud assets.Plan, design, and implement enterprise vulnerability scanning infrastructure in a hybrid or multi-cloud architectureDeploy vulnerability management infrastructure such as scanners, sensors, and agent configurationsPerform vulnerability scanning with the Qualys VMDRAnalyze vulnerabilities and clearly communicate impact and risk to the organizationAdvise customers on Vulnerability Management best practicesDevelopment of custom compliance and audit files for Qualys compliance scanningProvide guidance and collaborate with peers on the Vulnerability Management practice teamEstablish credibility as a trusted advisor to our customersExperience, Education, and Technical Requirements5+ years of information security experience3+ years of vulnerability engineering experience with Qualys REQUIRED3+ years of performing compliance scanning with Qualys (CIS, NIST, DISA)Experience developing custom compliance and audit checks with Qualys VMDR REQUIREDMust have experience with Qualys.io or Qualys Security CenterExperience with scripting tasks using native tools such as BASH, PowerShell, Python, or other native scripting languagesExperience with Regex for data parsingExperience with cloud service providers such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Experience with compliance frameworks such as Cis, NIST, DISA RequiredExperience developing Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, or Cloud Formation is a plusExperience with Kubernetes, containers, Ci/CD or serverless is a plusAn understanding of operating systems such as Windows Server, Windows 10/7, Mac OSX, RHEL, and Ubuntu Linux and the ability to perform advanced functions at the CLIAbility to manage time independently while handling multiple projects concurrentlyStrong written and verbal communication skillsA strong desire to learn new technologies and contribute to a fast-growing companyBenefitsRemote workforce primarily (U.S. based only, some travel may be required for certain positions, working on-site may be required for Federal positions)Group Medical Insurance options: Zero Deductible PPO Plan (GuidePoint pays 90% of the premium for employees and 70% for family plans (spouse/children/family) or High Deductible Health Plan with HSA (GuidePoint pays 100% of the employees premiums and 75% for family plans (spouse/children/family).
