Hospitalist Physician - Nocturnist
Physician Practice Enhancement (PPE) is seeking an experienced Nocturnist/Hospitalist for full time position in Yonkers, New York
St. Josephs Medical Center serves Yonkers and the surrounding communities of lower Westchester and northern Bronx. They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nocturnal Hospitalist to join our team. As a premier healthcare facility located in Yonkers, New York we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients, ensuring their well-being even during the nocturnal hours. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive medical care and performing bedside procedures.
12 hour shifts 7pm-7am
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality medical care to patients during night shifts.
Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients admitted to the hospital.
Perform bedside procedures including but not limited to central line placement, lumbar puncture, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and intubation, NG Tube Placement.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, specialists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Manage and prioritize patient caseload efficiently, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
Document patient encounters accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
Requirements:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of New York.
Completion of residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing as a Hospitalist, preferably in a nocturnal setting.
Proficiency in performing bedside procedures with demonstrated competency.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Availability to work night shifts on a rotational basis.
