This transformational role partners closely with senior leadership to design and deliver a global, comprehensive compensation framework and philosophy—including base, variable, and long-term incentives—that aligns with business objectives, supports a distributed workforce, and enhances overall employee experience and engagement.Reporting into and partnering alongside Elevate’s EVP, People, the Director, Global Compensation will drive strategic initiatives, ensure market competitiveness, and balance equity, performance, and fiscal responsibility.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Leadership:Develop and implement a comprehensive global compensation strategy, including compensation, benefits, and long-term incentive programs, aligned with business goals and company valuesServe as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on compensation planning and strategy, including equity and long-term incentive design to support retention and value creationLead cross-functional initiatives to evolve global compensation programs in a geographically distributed environmentEnsure compensation programs are administered consistently and fairly and monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation programs and practices while recommending plan revisions or new plans consistent with Elevate’s business strategy and external compensation trendsGlobal Compensation PlanningLead the design and execution of compensation programs, including:Base salary structuresVariable pay programs; (bonus program, sales commission planning and administration) Short- and long-term incentive plans (annual and multi-year)Oversee global compensation planning, including:Annual, mid-year and off-cycle compensation cycles including merit, promotions and incentive programsMarket benchmarkingPay equity analysisProvide strategic guidance on complex compensation decisions, including variable compensation components and long-term incentive participationMaintain and enhance compensation frameworks to ensure internal equity and external competitivenessManage and maintain the development of job architecture, job descriptions, salary bands, salary grades and work with various external resources and internal staff to ensure appropriate pay position in each of Elevate’s geographic markets and in compliance with various global regulationsData, Analytics & TechnologyLeverage compensation data and analytics to inform decision making, cost management and workforce planningDeliver insights through compensation and benefits analytics, dashboards, and reporting, including analysis of incentive and equity program effectivenessMonitor market trends to inform program design and decision-making, including long-term incentive practicesPerform proacting and ongoing assessment of compensation plan(s) effectiveness and competitiveness Lead efforts to participate in external compensation surveys relevant to Elevate’s national and global marketsIdentify and implement opportunities to improve systems, tools, and total rewards infrastructureCollaboration & CommunicationPartner with HR, Finance, and executive leadership to align total rewards with organizational prioritiesCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery and governanceChampion inclusive and equitable pay practicesCommunicate complex total rewards concepts—including equity value and long-term incentives—clearly to diverse audiencesSupport change management initiatives related to compensation, benefits, and incentive programsMaintain documentation and ensure compliance with reporting requirements and internal audit related to compensation and regulatory complianceQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)7+ years of progressive experience in compensation design, planning, development and strategy including experience with incentive and/or equity programs3+ years of leadership, change management and strategic experienceComprehensive knowledge of global government regulations and laws as they pertain to compensationAbility to accurately interpret large amounts of data and present data in an understandable format for othersStrong analytical and quantitative skills; experience with HRIS and compensation toolsAct with the highest level of integrity and sensitivity with our people dataProven ability to influence senior leaders and work cross-functionallyExperience supporting onsite, hybrid, and remote work environments across the globeAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated adaptability and ability to lead through changeCommitment to ethical and equitable compensation practicesWorking ConditionsLocation - This role is ideally hybrid and based in our New York City or Charlotte office, however we're also open to considering fully remote candidates.
