Job DescriptionAdult OutpatientFull Time$19 - $24 DOEPierce County's first Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic;Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified and passionate Medical Assistant to join our Outpatient department in Tacoma WA.We offer: Medical, dental, and vision with 100% paid premiums for employees, 11 paid holidays, Mileage reimbursement, 403(b)-retirement plan, and Tuition Assistance, Continuing education programs, Health club reimbursement, and paid sick leave.Function: Provide medical assistance to adults and children who suffer from mental health illnesses. Perform both clinical and administrative duties. Serves as a member of an organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.Responsibilities:Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team serving consumers with behavioral health needsAdminister and monitor psychotropic medications under the supervision as delegated by a licensed registered nurse. Ensure follow-up on referrals and facilitate continuity of care. Gather medical history information, & vital signs as directed by a registered nurse or prescriber, support licensed nursing and medical staff with medication management as needed including oral and injectable medications as prescribedDocument all medication monitoring and self-medications in EHR program or hard copy Medication Administration Record (MAR) daily by end of shift. Coordinate ordering and reporting of labs and lab results to prescribers. Coordinate insurance services/ prior authorizations. Coordinate community medical integrated healthcare services. Provide psychoeducation groups related to healthcare and medication to consumersEnsure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained. Maintain medical records and provide reports in accordance with policies and procedures. Demonstrate ongoing commitment to increasing competence and knowledge within the mental health field.
