We know how to identify and implement innovative solutions for our client's toughest challenges.Position Summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform advanced maintenance operations in the Dallas - Fort Worth, TX area during the day shift, mid shift, and night shift. This position is based in Joshua, TX and requires performing a variety of tasks related to snow and ice, guardrail and attenuator repair/replacement, signs, lighting/electrical work, mowing, tree trimming, incident response, drainage cleaning, debris removal, and asphalt/concrete repairs, and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. Schedule flexibility is a must, as there may be 10 - 20% of night work involvedRequired ExperienceSafely perform electrical work at assigned areasWork at varied heightsExposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand toolsAir compressor operations familiarityMinimum 2 years of related experienceMust have a valid Driver's LicenseConstruction or Roadway maintenance experienceGuardrail and Sign installation experienceConcrete forming/repair experienceMOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operatorPreferred ExperienceElectrical & Roadway maintenance experienceCDL license a plusBilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not requiredClean driving record is essentialMust pass criminal background checkQualificationsHigh School Diploma/GEDMaintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)Knowledge of local driving rules and regulationsCarry out simple arithmetic functionsMaintain proper safety equipment required for each jobKnowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technologyAbility to use smart phone and applicationsAbility to adjust to changing work scheduleAbility to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditionsCapable of lifting up to 50 poundsAbility to operate hand/power toolsScheduleFull time; Day & Night shift available.
