We are proud to be trusted partners in shaping safe, efficient, and resilient infrastructure.Job DescriptionThe Construction Services Manager will be responsible for coordinating multiple construction inspection tasks on roadway/highway/bridge/site projects. Project emphasis is transportation engineering design for both public and private sectors which range in scope from small to multimillion-dollar designs. Services are provided to a wide range of clients that include state DOTs and other governmental agencies – municipal, county and state.Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupervise and mentor construction engineers, as well as manage detailed schedules, work plans, and day-to-day operations of the construction inspection group while proactively managing multiple concurrent projects under pressure and tight deadlinesManage and delegate tasks for project assignments while ensuring projects meet client expectations and adhere to project budgets and schedulesWork collaboratively with both internal and external team members, including roadway and bridge design disciplinesProvide consistent project updates regarding strategy and progress to various stakeholdersParticipate in business development tasks including project pursuits, project proposal preparation and client presentationConfirm that the contractor provides a quality improvement in accordance with the plans, specifications, and special provisions in a timely mannerPerform duties in compliance with the company's safety rulesPerform other job duties as assigned; job duties may require both field work and office workQualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university requiredRegistration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois or Missouri required15+ years of experience in roadway construction and reading design plans and specifications, with 3+ years of successful project management experienceIDOT, MoDOT, or local public agency project experience requiredExperience with developing, negotiating and reviewing fee proposals and contractsProficient in contract administration software (MoDOT AASHTOWARE, IDOT CMMS/ICORS) is a plusWorking knowledge of surveying, construction layout, material testing, and testing equipmentOSHA 10 and ACI certifications are a plusWorking knowledge of CADD (Microstation or AutoCad), Geopak, InRoads, and/or OpenRoads Designer (ORD) within IDOT and other agency CADD environments is a plusWorking knowledge of DOT/AASHTO StandardsFamiliarity with procedures, methodologies, and standards including but not limited to the HCM, MUTCD, AASHTO, US Access Board guidelinesProficiency with Excel, BlueBeam and other general office softwareAttention to detail and basic math skillsStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsValid driver's license requiredPhysical QualificationsPrimarily office work with the possibility of some occasional field workSufficient visual ability to focus attention on extended use of electronic documents and software and/or use a computer for extended periods of timeAbility to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of timeRequires strong physical ability to walk long distances through a variety of terrains, lift and transport up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periodsDemonstrate flexibility and/or agility, as well as hand dexterity to operate equipment/toolsWillingness to endure a variety of weather conditions, as well as possible exposures to poisonous plants, insects, snakes, and animalsAbility to commute and/or travel long distances and/or stay overnight at project locations for extended timeEFK Moen OffersPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid Company HolidaysPaid Parental LeaveHealth, Dental and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company ContributionCompany sponsored Short and Long-Term disability coverageCompany sponsored life insurance coverageProfessional License exam fee reimbursementBonus OpportunitiesSupport of professional organization membership and activitiesWork-life balance through a flexible, casual work environmentA culture of mentoring and teamworkStarting Salary Range: $145,000-170,000Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.EFK Moen is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace.
