The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and ensuring the quality of PCB assemblies after soldering processes. This role requires a strong understanding of surface mount technology, electrical wiring, and schematic interpretation to maintain high standards in electronic manufacturing. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment focused on precision and quality assurance.\nDuties\nPerform post‑soldering operations on printed circuit boards (PCBs), including work on through‑hole and surface‑mount (SMT) components, cable assemblies, and wire harnesses.\nUtilize appropriate fluxes, solder wires, and cleaning solvents for both leaded and lead‑free soldering processes.\nSolder SMT components—including resistors, capacitors, diodes, SOICs, SOMs, SOLs, PLCCs—under a microscope in accordance with IPC‑A‑610 Class 3 standards.\nRoute, solder, and adhere jumper wires to PCBs following specified procedures and engineering changes.\nInterpret simple diagrams, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and related documentation to perform modifications or updates during post‑solder assembly.\nAccurately read resistor color codes and capacitor values to replace or install missing or upgraded components.\nOperate a variety of electrical and manual tools such as electric screwdrivers, heat guns, and torque drivers.\nRead and interpret PCB assembly drawings, ECNs, assembly instructions, and basic schematics to ensure proper component installation.\nMaintain consistent time standards to meet daily and weekly production schedules.\nExecute complete PCB assembly processes, including proper installation sequencing of through‑hole components.\nUse a microscope to perform precision soldering on SMT devices such as QFPs and jumper wires following ECNs.\nRemove SMT devices using a PACE hot‑air rework station without damaging PCB pads or components.\nPerform high‑quality touch‑up soldering (SMT and through‑hole) as needed for post‑solder inspection and rework.\nMaintain proficiency with microscopes and other visual inspection tools used in the assembly process.\nSkills\nStrong knowledge of PCB assembly, soldering, and surface mount technology (SMT)\nFamiliarity with IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies\nExperience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus\nAbility to read schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings\nProficient in using calipers, ohmmeters, and other measurement tools\nMechanical knowledge with experience operating hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment\nUnderstanding of electrical experience related to circuit testing and troubleshooting\nAbility to work with schematics and technical documentation accurately\nGood manual dexterity and attention to detail for precise assembly tasks\nPrior experience in manufacturing environments involving electronics or similar fields is preferred\nThis position is integral to maintaining the quality and reliability of our electronic products.
