Adhere to quality expectations and standards.\r\nCommunicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision.\r\nManage guest requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly and completely. Ensure follow-up with guests is performed in a timely manner to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction and quality service.\r\nPerforming preventative maintenance, to maintain the upkeep of the property, both inside and outside, as scheduled by Chief Engineer.\r\nMaintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.\r\nDocument each day's activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.\r\nSafely perform highly complex repairs of the physical property, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration and pool heaters - ensuring all methods, materials and practices meet company standards and Local and National codes - with little or no supervision. Display solid knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, patching walls, painting, wall vinyl replacement, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management.\r\nTroubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of equipment (e.g., pump and motor replacement), plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners, HVAC equipment, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and program TV's. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.\r\nDisplay solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks. Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, and properly store flammable materials.\r\nFollow proper Hotel safety policies and procedures and use safety equipment as needed to ensure the safety of all team members during each shift. Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.\r\nEnsure the work area is clean and clear of standing water, debris or any objects that can obstruct the job duties from being performed safely, efficiently, and effectively.\r\nPerform any other job-related duties as assigned.\r\nPosition Requirements:\r\nAbility to interpret manufacturer's literature for installation, preparation, use and upkeep of various materials and products used throughout the property.\r\nAbility to prioritize tasks and comply with deadlines for work assignments.\r\nAbility to frequently stand, walk, sit, stoop, twist, push, pull, and use power and hand tools.\r\nThe employee must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift to 75 pounds.\r\nDue to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including Nights, Holidays, and weekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel.\r\nRequired Qualifications:\r\nExperience: High School or equivalent; at least 1-2 years of related general repair experience is preferred, preferable in hospitality.\r\nThis posting in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the colleague occupying this position.
